St. Joseph Medical Center
PLANNED GIVING

Planned Giving

Each day we stand true to the calling to care for our patients and their families with reverence, integrity, compassion, and excellence. Through planned giving, donors of the medical center can help ensure that we are poised to continue to deliver upon our faith based mission for many years to come. Our gift planning program offers you several charitable options that can meet your financial and philanthropic goals with methods that may not require upfront cash.

For example, naming the St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation as a beneficiary of your estate can enable you to make a special gift which might not otherwise be possible during your lifetime. For bequests, you may donate either a percentage or a residual of your estate, or a specified amount of assets. Bequests can be unrestricted, which allows funds to be applied to the critical needs of the medical center. Including a bequest can be as simple as adding language to your existing will. By demonstrating your dedication to the medical center, you are inducted into The Tau Society, our legacy society. Other planned giving options include charitable gift annuities. In exchange for a transfer of cash, securities or real estate, the medical center guarantees specified annuity payments to you or to other beneficiaries. Payout depends upon the age and number of beneficiaries. A portion of each annuity payment is income tax-free over the life expectancy of the annuitant. There are many varieties of planned gifts that will provide you with the flexibility you need and the assurance that you are helping ensure that we deliver upon our faith based mission long into the future.
